Someone's Asleep in my Bed! Meme

Ah, end of the day and you're ready to take a load off. Time to go flop on your bed and catch some Z's and then---

Whoa. wait who is that? There's someone on your bed.... What do now?

Or coversely you could have gone to get some shut eye and suddenly you wake up in someone elses' bed!

Really, everything and anything goes-- but somebody is not in their own bed.

You aught to know the drill on how these things work by now, have at it.

[He makes another wordless sound, barely resisting. When he finally does open his eyes, it isn't Riku he sees. His fevered mind is convinced it's Xemnas hovering over him, and his body starts trembling even as he shifts to spread his legs slightly. It doesn't occur to him that he's fully clothed, or that there isn't as much force behind Riku's movements.]

[He'd be insulted to be mistaken for Xemnas. But while he doesn't know that Riku thinks that, he's pretty sure that Riku doesn't recognize him at the moment. He keeps ahold of Riku's arms--just tight enough that he can stop Riku if he tries to hit him.]

I won't hurt you, I promise. It's me, Riku.

[He isn't trying to strike out at all. In fact he's incredibly submissive. His heart is pounding, and it takes a long while before the terror fades from his eyes. Even then he isn't moving other than to dart a glance around the room.]

What...?

[He doesn't have enough experience being on the witness side of nightmares, he's usually the one having them. And he's also not sure if Riku's actually awake or not.]

Do you know where you are?

[He is, but he's pretty confused. After all, he thought it was Xemnas holding him down. He also thought they'd been naked.]

Why are you in my room? Are you going to...?

[Nope, no naked people here.]

I don't know how I got here, but I woke up here. You woke me up, actually. You were having a nightmare.

[That isn't very reassuring when he's still being held down. He's used to someone very different waking him up from nightmares. Axel tends to prod him somehow with his chakra, and Kai would use his Light.]

You don't want sex then?

[It probably helps a little when he releases Riku's arms and sits back so he's not looming or anything. Also, he would hope that Riku wouldn't be used to being woken up by him. The question catches him slightly off-guard.]

...What? No, I don't.

[It helps a lot actually, though it takes a few long moments before Riku's pushing himself to sit up, scooting further away.]

You were holding me down like you wanted it.

Not on purpose.

[Maybe he should leave before it gets more awkward.]

Then... Why?

[He gets that he was having a nightmare, but that is not how he's used to being woken up from one. Not by a long shot.]

[He'll use percussive maintenance next time.]

Why what?

[Oh that's sure to go over well.]

Were you holding me like that?

[Nah, he'd feel too guilty afterwards.]

I didn't know if you were going to try to hit me or something. I'm not used to waking people up from nightmares.

I hit you?

[His eyes run over Riku, looking to see if he managed to do any damage.]

While you were sleeping. Right here.

[He indicates his neck/upper chest area. There's no indication of damage, because he wasn't hit very hard.]

[He seems relieved that Riku is okay, at least. For all he knew, he was throwing punches.]

Oh. I'm sorry I hit you.

Don't worry about it. I'm not fragile.

... I thought you were Xemnas.

[He's not meeting Riku's eyes.]

...You thought I was...Ugh, that's one of the last people I'd want to be mistaken for.

[He's not sure if he wants to know anymore what kind of nightmare Riku was having, judging from what he's said so far.]

[It could be worse. He could have been mistaken for Xehanort. Riku's uncomfortable with not knowing what else he might have said or done before waking up.]

[True. That is the last person he wants to be mistaken for.]

It's not your fault. Is...that why you were...scared of me? Because you thought I was him?

... Wouldn't you be, if you woke up to being held down you were having a nightmare about that same thing?

[Not quite the same thing as it turns out, but it was still terrifying.]

Yeah...sorry if I made it worse for you.

[He shifts on the bed, scooting slightly closer to the edge.]

[He makes a noncommittal noise, because it isn't as if he can honestly say Riku didn't. Not when it was so obvious that he did, or that he's still tensing up whenever Riku moves.]

I think I... I'd better go find Kai, or Axel.
