The Aphrodisiacs Drink Meme

[He's tempted to poke Riku's face now that he knows that he can't see it coming, but he won't.]

[Riku pulls back from the glass, wrinkling his nose.]

[He finds that reaction amusing.]

Yeah, that. There's other stuff, too. All different colors...red, purple, blue, orange, green...I think it's all fruit drinks.

[It's a good thing he has a great sense of smell, because he can tell which drink has a lot of alcohol in it. He's not going near the kind that was thrust under his nose, nevermind that he doesn't like black licorice anyway. His hand traces lightly over the table, carefully lifting drinks one at a time to catch the scent and setting them back down again.]

[Shiru's watching him do that, leaning on the table with his chin propped on his hand. He's guessing that Riku's going to go for the yellow one. Let's see if he's right.]

[Nope. While Riku likes citrus, he isn't much of a fan of lemons. He's going to eventually go back and settle on the one with orange juice, looking satisfied when he takes a sip. Not that Shiru knows it, but he's scored at least a couple of points by not trying to shove drinks at Riku while he investigated them.]

[You Rikus and your citrus fruits. Nah, he probably would've just mixed the drinks together as Riku was trying to decide on them.]

That one meet your approval?

[You Replicas and your ridiculousness. Riku takes another sip, blithely voicing his thoughts.]

I like oranges. It's also nice to meet a Replica that doesn't want to kill me.

[Hey, he is only ridiculous sometimes.]

You're not my Riku, and besides, I don't have much reason to do that anymore. I'm surprised you didn't identify me as Riku at first.

[He taps the side of his nose, then shrugs.]

[He's never really gotten the hang of the people-smelling thing. Except to determine levels of light and darkness, but even then, a lot of people still smell like a lot of other people.]

[Maybe he should practice being blind for a week and hone his other senses.]

[There would be high levels of grouchiness. And flailing. It would be highly amusing.]

Uh...yeah, there's a couch over there. Or that table.

[He points, then realizes how useless that is, and grabs one of Riku's arms instead to help guide him.]

[He's going to have a grumpyku right here with him if he keeps being grabby. Riku doesn't like strangers latching onto him and dragging him places.]

Just tell me which way the couch is, if you don't mind.

[He's not hanging off you, geez Riku. But he'll drop the arm he had ahold of, but not without an eyeroll. He wasn't going to drag, just help. Really.]

[He's rather sensitive about it, especially since it was unexpected. Shiru can see just how he uses that stick of his, because he certainly isn't going to be running himself into anything with it. Riku actually seems to have a good sense of where furniture is most of the time, and looks pretty satisfied when he settles himself on the couch.]

[He'll be following behind Riku so he doesn't get in the way of that cane and flop onto the couch nearby.]

[Riku takes another sip of his drink, a shiver running up his back as he swallows. Apology accepted or not, he doesn't say, just sinking back against the couch. He's finding it hard to stay irritated.]

I don't like being touched without some kind of warning. You didn't know that before.

I'll remember that next time.

[He doesn't particularly want to test Riku's ability to hit things he can't see. He does, however, eye Riku and move a bit closer to him on the couch.]

[Riku knows exactly where Shiru is and yes, he can aim with surprisingly good accuracy so long as his opponent is making sounds. Even the brush of fabrics is enough in many cases. It's harder where they are now however, with so many others in the room with them.

He's got his cane resting against the arm of the couch, though his knee nearly knocks it to the floor as he stretches, knees splayed wide apart. The light curl of alcohol in his system is quickly helping him to relax.]

I'm not going to...touch you...without warning......c'mon, you know what I mean.

[That didn't sound as weird in his head as it did when he actually said it. Because of that, he huffs and goes back to his drink, which is almost half gone by now.]
